A differential carrier case is the unit which the ring gear bolts to and transfers power to the axle shafts via the spider gears that are contained within it. When changing gear ratios, it may be necessary to purchase a new carrier depending on the differential and the ratios being changed. The gear ratio at which a new carrier is required is known as a carrier break.
DiffsOnly inventory includes dozens of carrier cases for both standard open differential and limited slip differential (positraction) fitments.
